The Ermitage Community

More than anything, Ermitage is one big family. We are a close-knit community made richer by our diversity, which is reflected in the multiples programs and paths we offer as well. Ours is a community that will support you throughout all the crucial moments in our journey together.

This is a space for parents, teachers, the management team, as well as past, present and future students to stay current on what's going on at the school and get involved with our community. Share your experiences and find the answers to any questions you may have.

Your Arrival At Ermitage

Are you preparing to embark on a new adventure with Ermitage and move to Maisons-Laffitte? Rest assured, our community will be here to welcome you, guide you through any administrative tasks and answer your questions! See how they do it:

The Ermitage community helps your family adapt to our city and get settled through mutual aid and informational resources, such as our Amicale Parents Association.
Members of our community are here to support you as you look for a place to live or try to find a good family doctor, for example.
Welcome events give you an opportunity to meet the Ermitage family (the Welcome Picnic and Parents' BBQ to name a few).
Our Buddy System gives students an opportunity to support and look out for one another.
Our Orientation Program is a festive time for team building that allows new students to meet each other and have fun as a group before the school year starts.
Many events are organized throughout the year so you can discover all the possibilities on and around campus.
Some local support organizations may also be very useful to you (Maisons-Laffitte International is a good example).

During Your Time At Ermitage

Joining Ermitage means having the possibility to truly participate in the life of the school. Discover what brings us together and creates the special bond we share, and how each of you can contribute to this community during your or your children's' years at the school:

Participate in community events throughout the school year (Christmas market, Halloween, International day, prom, dance contest, IB graduation ceremony).
Take part in parent-student conferences.
Serve the community by representing your class or becoming an ambassador for new families.
Use the tools that allow you to follow student progress and stay connected (ManageBac, EcoleDirecte, private parents' portals).
Join the Amicale Parents Association that serves the community by putting on many festive events throughout the year.
Wear the colors and emblem of the school with pride.
Take advantage of Round Square opportunities (international trips, student exchanges, humanitarian missions and service projects).

After Your Time at Ermitage

If you went to Ermitage as a child, you'll always be a member of the Ermitage family. Thanks to you, our alumni, the community lives on throughout the world, expanding and flourishing. Here are some ways you can demonstrate your involvement:

Participate in the reunions organized regularly at Ermitage, in various cities around the world or virtually.
Come to school anniversary celebrations: many former students come to celebrate our shared history and reunite with favorite teachers and the team that guided them during their school years.
Spread the spirit of our school community through networking, by creating academic and professional connections around the world.
Stay connected via social media like Facebook and Line or by contacting us directly (alumni@ermitage.fr).

Teachers and Former Teachers

Our teachers from around the world are the heart and soul of our community. During your years teaching at Ermitage, you create strong professional ties as well as solid friendships with one another. You build a space for exchange that contributes to our daily quest for knowledge and mutual understanding. You explore pedagogical methods and tools in a continuous search for improvement.

This community of caring, skilled educators is invaluable to our school. We want it to remain active throughout your career at Ermitage, and also after you leave.
